Video: Rwandan Cultural Troupe Surprises Arsenal Players with a Dance During Training
Rwanda, Arsenal Cement Deal with Kinyarwanda Dance
A Rwandan cultural group has paid a visit to English Premier League Arsenal FC, surprising players with a Kinyarwanda dance during a training session.
Arsenal is advertising the Visit Rwanda brand after the two signed a deal that will see Visit Rwanda printed on the players’ jerseys.
The football club praised the cultural troupe.
“It was just a normal day at training… …and then this happened. Thanks for coming to see us,” Arsenal said in a tweet.
The Visit Rwanda team explained the surprise.
“On Tuesday we surprised Arsenal training with a band of traditional drummers and dancers to celebrate the launch of the partnership and give the players a taste of Rwanda,” tweeted the team.
“Intore literally means the Chosen best of the best. The dance symbolises pride and the chant is the call for victory.”
