Tamale Mirundi: Muntu is More Dangerous to NRM, Difficult to Destroy
President Yoweri Museveni’s senior media advisor Joseph Tamale Mirundi has said former FDC president Mugisha Muntu is more dangerous to the ruling NRM party.
Last month, Mugisha Muntu lost to former Kumi Municipality MP Patrick Amuriat in FDC presidential election.
Muntu has since decided to stay in the party, contrary to predictions that he would exit FDC to start his own party.
Others expected Muntu to join NRM. Some in FDC claim he is Museveni’s mole. But Muntu denies spying for Museveni.
TAMALE MIRUNDI: MUNTU MORE DANGEROUS TO NRM
Now, Mirundi says that even if Muntu was to join NRM, he would be more dangerous to the party.
“In my opinion, [Muntu] is a more dangerous threat to NRM,” said Mirundi during his Tuesday show on NBS TV.
Mirundi said Muntu was difficult to destroy.
“Muntu is hard to destroy,” suggesting that Muntu’s refusal to leave FDC even after delegates rejected him tells much of his resilience.
