MP Onesimus Twinamasiko Regrets 'Women Beating' Comments
On Tuesday, deputy speaker Jacob Oulanyah directed Twinamasiko to explain the controversial comments.
In the NTV interview, Twinamasiko confessed to beating his wife.

In a statement The Pearl Times has seen, Twinamasiko affirmed “my unwavering faith in the inviolability of women”.
“I actually detest all forms of violence against women,” wrote Twinamasiko.
Twinamasiko admitted making the comments, adding that he never meant to condone violence.
“It is still not my intention to further strain the matter by making unnecessary justifications,” he further wrote.
“I seek your understanding and earnestly pray that you and members of the public accept my sincere apology.”
