Onyango Shortlisted for 2017 African Player Awards

CAF has shortlisted Uganda Cranes goal keeper and captain Denis Onyango for two awards.

Onyango will compete for both the African Player of the Year Award and the Player of the Year (based in Africa) Award.

In the former award, Onyango faces 11 other players while in the latter, he faces 10.

CAF technical and development committee, CAF media experts’ panel and independent media and TV consultants came up with the shortlist.

Onyango won the African Player of the Year (based in Africa) award last year.

His challenge now is to defend this award.

Winners will be awarded at a gala in Accra, Ghana on January 04.
