“The country needs to know that the policing environment has changed overtime,” said Brig Sabiiti Muzeei.
Muzeei spoke the passing out ceremony for over 600 Police officers who completed a two-month Kampala Metropolitan Police Security training course at Kigo Marine Police Base.
“It [today’s policing] encompasses violent criminals in local societies, organised and transnational crimes where police has to respond as the first line of defense in national security.”
Muzeei has previously commanded the Military Police and the elite Special Forces Command.
Muzeei also opened war on officers who throw a way guns saying they had no place in Uganda Police.
He urged the officers to “use the skills in a manner that builds the image and mandate of the Uganda Police Force”.
