Bobi Wine: Bebe Cool Didn’t Deserve Beating
Rising politician and seasoned singer Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine has said his rival Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool did not deserve being pelted with bottles.
Over a month ago, revelers at the Swangz Avenue anniversary concert at Lugogo Cricket oval pelted Bebe Cool with stones and bottles.
The revelers, most of them thought to be rival Bobi Wine’s fans, accused Bebe Cool of being indifferent to struggle to remove President Yoweri Museveni.
For example, Bebe Cool attacks Bobi Wine for opposing social media and mobile money taxes.
Bobi Wine is a leader of the People Power Movement, while Bebe Cool is an ally of Museveni. Uganda’s longest-serving president.
But Bobi Wine says, despite Bebe Cool’s disagreement with the People Power struggle, the singer didn’t deserve the mistreatment he got at Lugogo.
“I am a peaceful person and I hate violence,” Bobi Wine told Spark TV.
“I do not support any musician being treated the way he was just like I would not support any person to be beaten by a baton.”
