Abdullah Kitata Denies Knowledge of Pistol, Claims CMI Operatives Planted it in His Hotel Room
BodaBoda 2010 patron Abdullah Kitata has denied knowledge of a golden pistol that is being linked to him as trial resumed in the General Court Martial on Tuesday.
The gun is at the centre of Kitata’s case.
Kitatta and 12 other BodaBoda 2010 members face charges of unlawful possession of firearms, live ammunition,military head gears and uniforms.
The accused were arrested with an SMG gun, three pistols, 50 rounds of live ammunition and millitary gear.
Kitata’s lawyers, including Shaban Sanya, claimed it was Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) operatives planted a golden pistol and ammunition in Kitatta’s hotel room at Wakaliga.
The defence team crossexamined Private Richard Kasaija on Kitata’s gun that was displayed in court.
Earlier, Kitata’s lawyers had expressed disconfort with members of the Court Martial that was recently reconstituted.
