Tamale Mirundi: All election petition hearings should not have payment attached
Joseph Tamale Mirundi, the controversial presidential advisor on media, has spoken out on the imprisonment of NBS TV host Simon Muyanga Lutaaya, hours after the presenter was sent to prison.
On Monday, Grade I Magistrate Samanya Kasule sent Muyanga, also Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Secretary for Mobilization for Kaliro District,to Kirinya Prison.
Muyanga had failed to pay Shs 51m, part of court costs for an election petition.

TamaleMirundi now wants election petition costs should be banned.
“All election petition hearings should not have payment attached, because people have options — witchcraft being part of these,” Tamale Mirundi told NBS TV.
“When Museveni didn’t agree with an election he went to the bush. It was his option.”
