Supreme Court Releases Former NSSF Boss Chandi Jamwa
Tough Conditions for Chandi Jamwa Bail
The Supreme Court has on Tuesday granted bail to former NSSF managing director David Chandi Jamwa.
Supreme Court Judge Stella Arachi Amoko ordered Jamwa to deposit Shs 10m in court.
He presented five sureties — each was bonded Shs 500m, not cash.
Court also ordered Jamwa to handover the title one of his properties in Munyonyo that that is registered under his wife Catherine’s name.
Jamwa is also required to surrender to the court registrar his passport with a promise that he will not apply for a new one when it expires in October 2018, ruled the judge.
Jamwa caused NSSF — and government — a Shs 3bn loss.
