Jim Muhwezi Runs to Court to Halt His Eviction from Makindye Land
Jim Muhwezi Rushes to Court as Bailiffs Move to Evict Him from Makindye Plot
Former health minister Jim Muhwezi has run to Kampala High Court, praying to have his eviction from the land located at Block 273 Kyamula, Salaama in Makindye Division, Kampala district halted.
Through Ahmed Mukasa Kalule, his lawyer, Muhwezi filed a “stay of execution” application.
Deputy Registrar Deo Nzeyimana will hear Muhwezi’s application on Thursday.
Muhwezi claims he bough the land from William Hitmana in 1995.
But James Mubiru says Hitimana had grabbed the land after he refused to sell it it him.
According to Mubiru, the land belonged to the late George Ssekajjugo, his father.
Recently, Muhwezi was shocked to see police and bailiffs come to administer the transfer of ‘his’ land to Mubiru.
