“I was a crazy girl while still studying,” she admitted.
And she did not realise she was pregnant until the pregnancy was over 60 days.
“I found out about the pregnancy when it was more than two months old,” she said.
“I swore to never step in class again but I also did not want to drop out of school.”
“I was about four months pregnant when one of my aunties tried to convince me to terminate the pregnancy,” narrated Desire Luzinda.
“They felt I could not handle being a parent at that age.
God-Fearing Desire Luzinda
Perhaps the reason Desire Luzinda did not abort was because she feared God.
“I was a God-fearing child and I thought that the minute I try to abort the baby I would die,” she said.
“I carried my pregnancy. “At school, they let me do exams and of course everyone looked at me like I was failure but I carried on.
“My classmates would talk behind my back and I was so broken.”
