Doors Open for Qute Kaye as Capt Mike Mukula Offers to Rehabilitate Him after Embarrassing Theft Case
Qute Kaye Bailed Out
Singer Qute Kaye’s doors seem to be opening after Capt Mike Mukula, a former minister and current NRM vice chairperson for eastern Uganda, offered to help rehabilitate the singer.
Qute Kaye, real names Ivan Kauma, recently walked in the hall of shame after he was caught stealing a car’s headlights in Busega, Rubaga Division in Kampala.
A friend, identified as Paul, bailed Kaye out — and saved him from cooling the heels in police cells.

Now, Mukula, the patron of Uganda Musicians Association, has promised to help Qute Kaye get back to his feet.
“This young man with talent got desperate, unemployed and with no source of income in the city,” noted Mukula in a Friday tweet.
“As a patron of Uganda Musicians Association, I have instructed the chairman and others to secure his release. We will rehabilitate him.”
