Bobi Wine: Muhoozi is Intelligent But Works for a Bad System
Bobi Wine: Not All NRM People are Bad
Kyadondo East MP and musician Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine has praised the commander of defence forces (CDF) Gen David Muhoozi, whom he said worked for a bad system.
Bobi Wine was commenting on what security chiefs said during a televised briefing on the state of national security Monday night.
The chiefs, including CDF Muhoozi, IGP Martins Okoth Ochola, security minister Gen Elly Tumwine, internal affairs minister Jeje Odong and defence minister Adolf Mwesige, sat at Kampala Serena Hotel to assure Ugandans that the the security situation was not alarming.
They blamed the media for causing alarm amongst Ugandans.
The briefing came on the heels of the shooting, last Friday, of Arua Municipality MP Ibrahim Abiriga and his brother and bodyguard Said Kongo Buga, at Kawanda, Wakiso district.
Bobi Wine Praises CDF Muhoozi
In a long piece, Bobi Wine said Muhoozi was intelligent and prayed that God should raise such leaders like the CDF.
But Bobi Wine said Muhoozi was serving a bad system.
What Bobi Wine Thinks About Muhoozi
On another note, the manner in which General David Muhoozi responded to questions last night once again gave me confidence that I am always right when I say that not everyone who works for the NRM regime is a bad person.
I do not agree with that narrative. I think our Chief of Defence Forces is one of the many good and competent people who are serving a bad system.
He came off as an intelligent and able leader and I kept wondering why he had to go to court and justify the raid on Parliament last year.
But again, I understand that many such people are captives of the system. I watched him struggle to keep away from some obvious truths because in a system like ours, the consequences might be dire.
My prayer is that such good leaders multiply across the board and gain the confidence to influence positive changes from all spheres so that our nation sees better days.
