Besigye: Museveni Should Import Cuban Leaders to Help Him Produce Good Doctors
Opposition kingpin Dr Kizza Besigye has challenged three-decade president Yoweri Museveni to also import Cuban leaders to help do what he has failed to do in 32 years.
On Tuesday, Museveni used the Labour Day Celebrations in Sembabule district to scoff at doctors for striking against low pay.
Museveni said the medical workers were unprofessional and that he had decided to import Cuban doctors in reaction to the medics’ move “to create a crisis”.
BESIGYE TELLS MUSEVENI TO HIRE CUBAN LEADERS
Besigye suggested that Museveni has failed in his 32 years as president.
“The logical step is to bring Cuban leaders who produce the ‘good doctors’ to replace Ugandan leaders that can’t produce ‘good doctors’ after 32 years in power!”
Besigye’s wife and Oxfam International executive director Winnie Byanyima has also hit at Museveni saying he is being dishonest with Ugandan workers — the tax payers who have footed all his bills in 32 years.
Museveni insisted he earned little but had power, arguing that civil servants should be patient as government works on infrastructure projects before salaries can be raised.
