Last week, Paul Williams told Museveni to exit power because he was “a barrier to Uganda’s development”.

“Will the government use Chogm to give a message to Uganda’s President Museveni that after 32 years in power he’s become a barrier to his country’s development and that good governance includes leaving office?” Williams told British parliament ahead of Chogm.

On Tuesday, Paul Williams met Anti-Museveni protesters outside Parliament in London.

Williams, who previously worked as a physician for five years in Uganda, urged Museveni to deal with corruption.

He also advised Museveni to open the doors for dialogue and to respect press freedom.

Williams added that he was “fully committed” to work with Ugandans to see “meaningful democracy” in the east African land locked country.
